So many reasons to be on this journey. Downsizing/rightsizing. Small footprint. Commune with Mother Nature. Retreat from wired living – cell phones, internet, freaking I-Phone and Facebook addiction. I mean I’M not addicted, but I feel that pull ALL THE TIME to check it, check it out. I’d like to instead live in awareness and appreciation of the present moment. Breathe in, breathe out.
It’s really a challenge to pack an RV to live in it for six months. What do you really need? What food? How will I be able to eat healthy? Holy cow – you should see the homeopathic remedies, herbal tinctures, essential oils I brought. Yes, two Tarot decks made the cut, and so did my favorite Angel cards. Hey, I have been waiting for the time to dive deep into the Thoth Tarot deck I’ve had for a year already. THAT’s what this journey is about – diving deep!
Yes, I brought my mesa, my drum, my yoga mat, essential oils, healing tools, tuning forks! My laptop, my keyboard. I plan to engage in ceremony to heal our beloved Pachamama Gaia Mother Earth on this journey – to connect, and to reconnect. To deepen my awareness of the beautiful interconnected web of being, the oneness. To BE the Healing. Divine deep diving!
Packing is wacky; crazy making. I can tell you some of the things I am already needing, after 2 days of living in the camper. Grill tools, potholders -- I only have one. Towels. Yup. Somehow we only have 2 bath towels. Do we need more than 2? Probably not, but it just seems like you should have more than 2.
Anyway, here we are. Second night in the camper. Paint Creek State Park, near Bainbridge Ohio. Nestled up to the woods. Quiet. It’s totally dark out there at 6:30 pm. Feels like midnight. Can we go to bed yet??? What about Divine Deep Diving? Why am I so tired? Step outside, the sky is crystal clear, Mars orienting my gaze, the Milky Way inviting contemplation. Turkey vultures rustling in their perches. Dog barks. Chilly air. Quiet. Dark. Wow. We should really build a fire in the fire pit and be outside, drink it all in. Want to build a fire? I’m tired! Me too! So we cuddled up inside under warm throw blankets and tried to stay up until a reasonable hour – 8:30 – and went to bed!
Divine Deep Diving is translating to syncing with Mother Nature’s rhythms on these early trip days. Allowing ourselves to slip into more timeless living, releasing into rising when waking, sleeping when sleepy. Ahhhhh. The big outbreath as we move away from scheduled life and into – IN to NOW.
Stay tuned in my friends! Blessings of Love and Light to You!
