Shamanism
During my first encounter with Peruvian Shamanism in 2014 in the Sacred Valley of Peru, I was astounded to discover that these ancient lineage teachings are deeply and profoundly spiritual, offering wisdom teachings AND direct experiences that, as a life-long student of Eastern philosophies, meditation, and yoga, I have found to be more directly and immediately transformational for myself and those around me. That's a heck of a sentence, but it really says how I feel. I invite you to look past whatever meanings you have associated with the word shamanism, and join me in tasting the sweet, peaceful, powerful, loving, balancing ritual practices of Peruvian high Andean and coastal shamanism.
What is Shamanism?
Shamanism is the ancient practice of restoring balance between Nature and humans –and all our relations – between the seen and unseen. Modern, industrialized society is out of balance with Mother Earth, and we who live in that society find ourselves unbalanced, unwell, and alienated from the natural world. We no longer live in harmony with nature, and feel helpless as we witness mass species extinctions and massive resource depletion and waste. Healing can occur as we restore ourselves to balance, and restoring balance is the work of the shaman. Shamanic practices offer us methods for restoring balance to our own lives, and to offer ceremony to help balance and heal the world.
A shamanic practitioner is one who communes with spirit/oneness/all-that-is using various transformative tools, such as chanting, drumming, music, or guided meditation, and then channels the connection through ceremony or healing session to balance energies for individual or community healing and global transformation.

The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Cross Cultural Shamanism
I am currently an apprentice in Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Cross Cultural Shamanism, as envisioned and manifested by Don Oscar Miro-Quesada, Peruvian Curandero, Psychologist, and Author, and beautifully described on heartofthehealer.org/ web page. I invite you to explore that page, and learn more about this profoundly spiritual, healing, and ritually engaging lineage.
In honor of this tradition and for the seven generations, with great gratitude, I offer workshops, rituals, and blessings.
